Sedan one-way: ₹3,400–3,800. SUV/Innova one-way: ₹4,400–5,000. Tempo Traveller (group 12-seater): ₹8,000–9,500. Round trip with 2-night driver stay: Sedan ₹6,500–7,500 (driver allowance 2 nights included). Digha is one of Jharkhand's most-booked weekend cab routes from October to March.
Best Time to Visit Digha
October to February: cool weather, calm seas, perfect beach walks. The monsoon sea (June–September) is rough and unsafe for swimming. March–April is hot but still manageable. Durga Puja week (October) brings large crowds from Kolkata — book 2 weeks ahead for this period. New Digha beach (developed side) has better hotels; Old Digha has the traditional market.
Mandarmani Beach Option
Mandarmani is 15 km before Digha (225 km from Jamshedpur) — a quieter, less crowded beach with resorts on the sand. If you prefer calm and privacy over Digha's buzzing market, ask your driver to head to Mandarmani instead. Cab fare is the same.
